Autumn 2008

Hello everyone, and welcome to all newcomers.  Just a quickie this time, warning you of a Prize Draw coming up, and a new book to look out for in February, slightly different from my usual.  Hope those of you who live in the UK managed to have a pleasant summer, despite the rain.  We had a drought here in Spain and were complaining about that too.  We’ve now had a few thunderstorms and even went out to dance in the rain at one point, just for the joy of it.  With the cooler weather we’re now able to get back to our gardening and walking, might even lose a few pounds after all that lazing about, although the temperature in the pool is now down to 17 degrees, so swimming is definitely out.

In November, David and I are off to London for a few days to attend the RNA (Romantic Novelists Association) Winter Party.  It’s always fun to catch up with writer friends, as well as a good opportunity to pick up on all the latest trade gossip.  We’ll also take in a show, maybe Billy Elliot, which I believe is good, and fit in a little Christmas shopping.  Mental note: must remember the credit crunch and not spend too much.  Show me a Principles or a Next, and all the moths fly out of my purse and I really enjoy myself.

But then I deserve it once in a while.  I’ve had my head down working for much of the summer, working on my next saga, more of which later.
Thanks for you all your news, of holidays you’ve enjoyed in the Lake District,  books you can recommend, which of mine you’ve enjoyed the most and are sometimes even reading for a second time!  And thanks to Shelagh from South Africa for sharing her Golden Wedding news with me.  Are you celebrating something special?  Can your marriage beat 50 years?  Do let me know.  David and I will be celebrating our Ruby Wedding next year, which is very exciting.
